Fifth Partners' Meeting

The fifth partners' meeting of the Cave project took place online.
All partners participated in the meeting and the main discussed topics were:
- Presentation of the results of the teachers participation in the online course
- Presentation of activities on the Social Media Platform
- Presentation of the use of the assessment tools

Conference in Poland

The “Projekty Europejskie Realizowane w Świdnickich Szkołach” was held in Świdnik, Poland on 29 May 2023. The conference was attended by 44 teachers and 46 students of primary and secondary schools located in Świdnik. Among the audience, there were also representatives of the Świdnik Municipality and the local newspaper. The educators were teachers of Mathematics, Polish, History, Civics, Geography, English, Science, Music and technical subjects. Each school was also represented by its headmaster and vice heads.

Conference in Italy

For the dissemination event planned at the conclusion of the CAVE Project experimentation, more than fifty elementary school teachers from all over Italy were involved in the conference held in Rome on 22 May 2023. The participants were mainly from Rome and surrounding localities.

Conference in Spain

The multiplier event took place in Zamora, Spain and targeted 50 education inspectors who were being trained in methodological changes and digital competence. Eleven CFIE advisors were also present. Both inspectors and CFIE advisors have a direct relationship with teachers in the schools. It seemed appropriate to present the products to these professionals because of their ability to implement them in the schools.

Tools for Digital Competences Assessment

The set of Tools and Methodologies for evaluation capable of assessing the digital skills of teachers and the impact on students in terms of increased learning and school participation is available on the project web site.

Focus groups

Project partners will organize focus groups in each partner countries. The focus groups will involve the teachers enrolled in the online course. The focus groups aim to identify the strengths of the online course and understand how the knowledge acquired can support the teachers in their daily working days with the students.

Fourth Partners' Meeting

The fourth meeting of the European project entitled CAVE – Communication And Visual Education in homeschooling, was held on 13 - 14 February 2023 at Unión Sindical de Inspectores de Educación based in Seville (Spain). During the fourth meeting, the European project partners presented the Social Media Platform and the Self-Assessment Tool developed within the project.

Agorà Social Media Platform

The Agorà Social Media Platform is available on the project website. It represents an interactive and participative virtual environment, aimed exclusively at the primary schools of the 5 partner countries involved in the project. Teachers and students will be able to meet and continue to carry out the educational activities started in the presence of their teachers within the virtual classrooms of Agora.

Advanced level - online course

The ADVANCED LEVEL, APP DIGITAL EDUCATION, focuses on multimedia didactic paths, i.e. 30 LOs (5 for
each partner involved in the project) on different disciplinary topics in which the principles of infographics
and visual storytelling are applied in the design of learning units, in a multidisciplinary, multisensory and
multimedia key.

Third Partners Meeting

The third meeting of the European project entitled CAVE – Communication And Visual Education in homeschooling, was held on 11 – 12 July 2022 at Pixel premises in Florence (Italy).
During the third meeting, the European project partners presented the draft version of the Learning Objects of the Online Course’s Advanced level and analyzed the Social Media Platform with a workshop on the main tools and functions.

Intermediate level of the online course

The INTERMEDIATE LEVEL, VISUAL STORYTELLING of the online course, deals with storytelling. Specifically, 6 LOs were designed and developed on the design of visual narrative structures to be used in the didactic perspective aimed at the acquisition of critical media skills and educational media awareness and design (Basic Topics) and 6 LOs on audiovisual tools and techniques, i.e. on the use of basic audiovisual language tools for the purpose of finalising teaching units autonomously and sharing them online in compliance with copyright and authors' rights regulations (Direction; Storyboard; Storytelling Structure).

The Basic Level of the online course School Telling is available on the project website. The level deals with Data Basic Design and it contains y, 6 LOs were designed on the main characteristics of the infographic language and aimed at the acquisition of access skills (technical and linguistic on infographics)

WHAT KIND OF DIGITAL TEACHER ARE YOU?
The CAVE project offers you the opportunity to discover what kind of digital teacher you are through a questionnaire carefully constructed for you. The proposed questions have been elaborated starting from the levels and types identified by the European framework DigCompEdu.

Second Partners' Transnational Meeting

The Second Transnational meeting of the CAVE project took place in Rome (IT) on 18 - 19 November 2021. Paola Serafin (CISL), Ida Cortoni (La Sapienza) and Lorenzo Martellini (Pixel) presented to the partners the current situation for the first Intellectual Output, the Online Training Course. Moreover, the structure for the second Intellectual Output, the Social Media Platform, have been presented and discussed.

CAVE project: partners' meeting on Animaker and Open Shot

The meeting on Animaker and Open Shot softaware took place online on 23 September 2021. All the partners virtually meet and, with the help of Vincenzo Maselli and Pierpaolo De Luca, the process to edit audio and video of the Videoclips has been technically explained. At the end of the meeting, all the partners had a clear view of the future project's implementation and the next activities.

Kick-off Meeting of the CAVE project

The Kick-off meeting took place online on 19 – 20 April 2021. Paola Serafin, Ida Cortoni and Lorenzo Martellini presented the project and the activities to be carried out to the partners. The meeting was also an opportunity for the partners to get to know each other and to discuss all details related to the project's activities. At the end of the meeting all the partners had a clear view of the future project's implementation, the financial rules and the next activities which consists in the involvement of the target groups, and the development of the Learning Objects of the basic level.

Cave project

The CAVE project (2020-1-IT02-KA226-SCH-095188) is funded, by the European Commission through the Italian National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme,  aiming to work on two dimensions of the European Education Area, that of quality and that of inclusion to counter forms of socio-cultural, linguistic, and psychocognitive inequality, and reducing the main misalignments in the field of education, emphasized in the period of COVID19.
