Methodology
The Entrance Test and Post Test are structured questionnaires with several multiple choice questions. These questionnaires are organized to be administered one at the beginning and one at the end of an online course, so that the incoming and outgoing profiles of those taking the course can be assessed, the purpose being to see if and how the course benefits the user. The tests are constructed from a theoretical framework and include a first part of registry questions, and a second part of multiple choice and rating questions.
Application
The Entrance Test and Post Test are two questionnaires assessing the skills of teachers co-investigated in the CAVE project. The first is aimed at surveying the teachers' digital knowledge and skills prior to the delivery of the School Telling (IO1) training course in order to identify the incoming profile of the same teachers. The second one is administered following the teachers' participation in the training course and aims to check the skills acquired by the teachers, the possible implementation or not of digital skills and, indirectly, to assess the effectiveness of the proposed training course.
The tests are made available online for teachers, including 28 questions. These questionnaires were constructed from the theoretical basis of DigCompEdu (Punie, Redecker, 2017), i.e., the European model on digital competencies for educators, which proposes a reading and interpretation of digital competencies of citizens, applied to the formal educational context. In this sense, the questionnaire includes, in addition to the initial biographical part, six parts corresponding to the six areas of the European model: professional engagement, Digital Resources, Teaching Learning, Assessment, Learner's empowering and Facilitating learner's digital skills. For each of the six areas, six levels of teacher competence are identified that can be identified in the following figures: Newcomers, Explorers, Integrators, Experts,Leaders, Pioneers. At the end of completing the questionnaire, each teacher receives immediate feedback from the system on the levels of digital competence by areas within a radial graph.
